VAST Science Kit Program
School Districts

Alburnett Community School District is a K-12 district located in the community of Alburnett and serving the communities of Alburnett and Toddville. It has a population of 700 students.

Anamosa Community Schools is a PreK-12 district of 1250 students located in three buildings in the community of Anamosa.

Anamosa, St. Patrick Catholic is a PreK-6 school located in the community of Anamosa. It has a population of 120 students with involvement in the Primary KiDS program.

All Saints School, a member of the Cedar Rapids Area Catholic Education System, is a PreK-5 school. This program serves over 200 students on the southeast side of Cedar Rapids.

Behavior Learning Center is a Grant Wood AEA offsite program located in Iowa City and serves up to ten secondary students with a behavior disorder.

Benton Community Schools is K-12 district located in Benton County with district offices located in Van Horne. It has four elementary schools and one middle school/high school with a population of 1600 students.

Cedar Rapids Community Schools is a PreK-12 school district serving over 18,000 students. The district is made up of two early childhood schools, 21 elementary (K-5 and 1-5) schools, six middle schools, and four high schools.

Center Point-Urbana Community School District is a K-12 district serving 1,050 students in Center Point and Urbana. It has three schools: an elementary and a high school in Center Point and a middle school in Urbana.

Central City Community Schools is a PreK-12 school district with 400 students. The elementary, middle school and high school are located in a shared building.

Clear Creek Amana Community Schools is K-12 district. The district has three attendance centers: Clear Creek Amana High School in Tiffin; Clear Creek Amana Middle School and Amana Elementary in Middle Amana, grades K-8; and Clear Creek Elementary in Oxford, grades K-5. Total enrollment for the district is 1,200 students.

Prairie Edge, College Community School District, is a K-12 program serving approximately 50 students. It is a segregated school for students who are struggling with severe behavior problems.

Deep River-Millersburg Community School District is a K-6 district with 125 students. This elementary program is located in Millersburg.

English Valleys Community School District is a PreK-12 district located in North English. The District is comprised of 500 students from Kinross, North English, South English, and Webster.

HLV Community Schools is a K-12 district of 440 students. The K-12 facility is located in Victor and also serves the communities of Hartwick and Ladora.

Highland Community School District is a K-12 district serving over 600 students. It has elementary schools in Ainsworth and Riverside and a junior high/high school in rural Riverside.

Iowa City Community School District is a PreK-12 district serving over 11,000 students in the Iowa City area. The district includes the communities of Coralville, Hills, North Liberty and University Heights. The district has 17 elementary buildings, two junior highs and three high school programs.

Iowa Valley Community School District is a PreK-12 district with 700 students located in Marengo. The elementary building includes PreK - grade 6, and junior/senior high includes grades 7-12.

The Life Skills program is a Grant Wood AEA offsite program that serves up to eight secondary students with a behavior disability.

Linn-Mar Community School District is a K-12 district located in Marion and Cedar Rapids and also serving parts of Linn County. It has four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school serving nearly 4500 students.

Linn County Youth Shelter classroom provides educational services for up to 12 students. This is an off-site program facilitated by Grant Wood AEA.

Lisbon Community School is an AK-12 district of 500 students. The elementary, middle school and high school are all housed in one central building.

Lone Tree Community Schools is a K-12 district. The Elementary, Middle, and High Schools share the same building and provide services for 400 students.

Marion Independent School District is a K-12 district of 1,900 students in Marion. It has five schools: two K-3, one 4-5, one middle school and one high school.

Mid-Prairie Community School District is a K-12 district serving children in Kalona, Wellman, West Chester and several other small communities. The 900 child district is made up of three elementary (K-5) schools, one middle school and one high school.

Monticello Community School District is a K-12 district serving over 1,000 students. Students attend two elementary buildings, a middle school and high school, all located in Monticello. At this time, the middle school is participating in the VAST Center kit program.

Mount Vernon Community School District serves nearly 1200 students in a K-12 program. Students attend one elementary, one middle school and one high school, all within the Mt. Vernon community. The middle school participates in the VAST Center kit program.

North Cedar Community School District is a K-12 district serving approximately 1,000 students in four different communities.  The elementary schools in Lowden and Mechanicsville, along with the middle school in Clarence, participate in the VAST Center kit program.

North-Linn School District is a K-12 district and is the hub of three communities: Coggon, Troy Mills and Walker. The 800 students attend two elementary (K-5) schools, one middle school and one high school.

Olin Consolidated School is a K-12 district. The elementary, middle school and high school are located in a shared building.

SEAD is an off-site program at St. Lukes Hospital. This classroom, served by Grant Wood AEA, provides educational opportunities for up to five students.

Solon Community School District is a PreK-12 district serving 1,100 students. It has one elementary (PreK-4) school, one middle school (5-8), and one high school.

Springville Community School District is a K-12 school district with a student population of 464, served by an elementary building and a secondary building within the community of Springville.

    Summit Schools is an independent, coeducational PreK-8 school located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Summit serves 152 students.

    Tanager Shelter Classroom is associated with Tanager Place and is an off-site program served by Grant Wood AEA. The K-12 program serves up to 15 students.

    Tipton Community School District is a PreK-12 district of 900 students located in Tipton. The district is composed of three schools: one elementary (PreK-5), one middle and one high school.

    Vinton-Shellsburg Community School District is a PreK-12 district serving the communities of Vinton, Shellsburg, Garrison, Mt. Auburn and Brandon. It has one early childhood center (PreK-2), one elementary (PreK-5) school, one intermediate (3-4) school, one middle school and one high school serving 2,000 students.

    Washington Community School District is a PreK-12 district serving over 1700. The district is comprised of five programs, all located within the community of Washington.

    Washington, St. James Catholic is a PreK-6 school located in the community of Washington. It has a population of 150 students with involvement in the intermediate KiDS program.

    West Branch Community School District is a PreK-12 district of 900 students. It has one PreK-5 school, one middle school and one high school.

    Youth Emergency Shelter in Iowa City is a Grant Wood AEA offsite program providing services for youths ages 12 to 18.
