The mission of Global Education Resources (GER) is to improve elementary and middle school mathematics instruction and learning by providing materials, workshops and consulting services to teachers, schools, and districts.  GER is carrying out the following activities to fulfill its mission of helping to improve mathematics teaching and learning:

 introducing lesson study to the education community

offering English translations of the most widely used Japanese grades1-6 textbooks

providing workshops and consulting services to help organizations implement lesson study and to deepen their understanding of the scope and sequence of mathematics

sponsoring lesson study open houses and conferences

Research for Better Schools is a non-profit educational research & development firm that has been serving educators in the Mid-Atlantic region of Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania since 1966. RBS currently operates the Mid-Atlantic Eisenhower Consortium for Mathematics and Science Education, under a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. It also offers educational technology, development, evaluation, technical assistance, and training services. RBS Publications provides research and best practices-based products for practitioners and policymakers. This site provides links and information regarding Lesson Study.

Lesson Study Research Group at Columbia University -- The purpose of this website is to provide information, resources, and networking opportunities to the community of U.S. educators who are interested in lesson study. Site also contains links to current papers on lesson study.

Lesson Study Group at Mills College is led by Catherine Lewis, senior research scientist at Mills College. This website contains links to resources and a calendar of events related to lesson study research.

Lesson Study Project at EDC -- The aim of this website is to provide information about lesson study and about this project, to provide resources for teams actively participating in lesson study, and to contribute to the knowledge base of the broader lesson study community by sharing their experiences and their research.

Mathstar Lesson Study Project at New Mexico State is part of a three-state grant funded by the Department of Education and is intended to improve middle school mathematics achievement. Lesson Study videos of teachers in action are viewable through this site.

Teaching and Learning Mathematics: A Problem Solving Approach is a lesson study project in Dubuque, IA. The project is directed by Dan Willis and Christina Nugent, professors at Loras College.
