Expanding Expressive Language Workshop

Date: April 6, 2017
8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Grant Wood AEA
4401 Sixth St. SW
Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Frustrated with receiving one-word answers when asking students to describe objects, items, events or vocabulary? This simple multisensory program will boost oral and written language expression using a hands-on, structured approach to describing and defining.

This program provides visual and tactile information to help expand word choice, keep students on topic, reduce the need for prompting, and improve organization and comprehension. The hierarchical approach will quickly take a student’s expression from single words to descriptive paragraphs to full reports!

This program has been classroom tested in both regular and special education classes. It supports Language Arts curriculum and is also designed for RTI, Inclusion, Content Based Instruction and more.

NOTE: Kits are available through and are not included with the workshop fee.
