Expanding Expressive Language Workshop

Presenter: Sara L. Smith, SLP and program founder

Oct. 22, 2019
8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Frustrated with receiving one-word answers when asking students to describe objects, items, events or vocabulary? This simple multi-sensory program will boost oral and written language expression using a hands-on, structured approach to describing and defining.

This program provides visual and tactile information to help expand word choice, keep students on topic, reduce the need for prompting, and improve organization and comprehension. The hierarchical approach will quickly take a student’s expression from single words to descriptive paragraphs to full reports!
