Online Math Resources
Math consultant Janet Greene is back with another Saturday Snippet! If you missed last week's Snippet on math standards in blended learning you can find it here.
Educators have access to three math resources on Grant Wood Area Education Agency's Online Resources page that can be incorporated into Blended or Personalized environments on playlists and in stations or small groups. To learn more about any of these resources, reach out to your GWAEA math consultant.
StrADDegy is a digital toolkit for teachers to help children build facts that last. This resource supports conceptual understanding and practice of addition and subtraction strategies to build fluency. Lessons for whole-class, small group, or individuals build contextual connections through investigations, routines, and games.
K-5 Math Teaching Resources Centers and Journals support teachers in the development of key mathematical skills, concepts, and understandings. The standards-aligned centers and journal prompts give opportunities for students to develop and practice contextual understanding while providing teachers evidence of their learning.
Mathalicious (soon to be rebranded as Citizen Math) has lessons aligned to the Common Core State Standards that build conceptual understanding through real-world contexts. Students use a mix of formal and informal reasoning as they engage in mathematical decision-making to solve everyday problems.
Don't forget! Area educators can now log in to all of these great resources easily through ClassLink!
Don't miss a Snippet! All Snippets will be archived on this page.
