Internship Application Guidelines
- Check with your college/university to see if an existing Affiliation Agreement with Grant Wood AEA is on file.
- If not, please have your college/university department reach out to Francine Jackson (fjackson@gwaea.org) to execute an Affiliation Agreement.
- You must complete the following forms:
- Criminal Background Screening
- A satisfactory background check is required once placement is secured. GWAEA will accept a background check that has been completed within the last two years.
- You may have had one completed by your college/university as part of the enrollment process, and that is acceptable. If you have not had one previously completed, we recommend going to Criminal History Record Check for Iowa DCI. Forms can be faxed or mailed to DCI. There is a $15 charge for this, and that is typically the only expense you will incur with our practicum program.
- Educational Placement Data Sheet
- Intern will submit this form to GWAEA once placement is secured. This document will be signed by the supervising Grant Wood AEA staff member(s) after the intern submits it the HR Department.
