Computer Science Education Week (csedweek.org) is celebrated the first week of December to help promote computer science amongst students, parents, communities and organizations.2021 Hour of Code CS is Everywhere logo
This year, both #CSEdWeek and the Hour of Code activities will align with the theme #CSEverywhere. This theme highlights the impact that computer science is making everywhere and the relationship that computer science has to different subjects, industries, career paths, and our everyday lives. Iowa STEM and Grant Wood AEA are celebrating December 6th through the 12th and invite you to share your experiences using #CS4IA on social media.

  • Consider collaborating with a community & business partner to connect students with Iowa professionals whose work is influenced by computer science. Use our resources to find the right person to work with you and your students by grade bands K-56-89-12. Partners are available during CS Ed Week, December 6-10, as well as for other events throughout the year.

🖥️ Live Virtual Events




  • Grant Wood AEA is partnering with the Southeast STEM Hub & TCS to a host live virtual event for middle school educators and students to experience during a school day. Code.org is also hosting similar virtual events. Please check out our 2021 CS Ed Week Resource for details & registration information.
